The North Dakota state courthouse has this information available for all counties, but it?s more time-consuming, costly, and complicated to obtain. It requires a form is filled out requesting the information, it takes days or weeks to get it, and it?s not always the best way to find the information you want. Local courthouses are the answer.
If you know where someone was arrested or suspect they have a court case in a specific county, it?s this courthouse you want to check. You can do it in person, but it?s easily done online. The North Dakota court website has an option to search for court records and court dockets, from that court only. Enter the name of the person in question and you?ll find any court records on file. You can do this in numerous counties if you suspect there is more information to find. It?s free to search like this, and it?s done in only a few moment?s time. If you require more comprehensive information, it?s time to make your request at the state level to ensure you get all the information for a person from every county. It?s not hard, but it does take a bit more time and many people are unwilling to wait.

Thanks for reaching out about our North Dakota court records blog. Unfortunately our records only go back about 50 years and probably much older than most online court record resources have. That being said, you can lookup old ND court records through the North Dakota state archives. This would be a good place to start.
This question is about a civil trial that took place sometime in the year 1900. Are there record’s on file (transcripts) from civil trials? If there are, would you let me know and then I would give you information about a case that involved my father.
Thank You hope to hear from you.
