Obtaining Delaware Driving Records

There are three different ways to obtain a driver record in the state of Delaware. These include in-person, online, or by mail. If you are an individual seeking your own driver record, you can use any of these three methods to get it. If you are seeking a record of another driver you will need to submit your request in-person or by mail.

Each Delaware driver record costs $25.00. You will have the option of a 3 year, 5 year, or full-length driver history record. For those looking to obtain a driver history record by mail, you will be required to have a completed Personal Information Release Form MV703 that is notarized. Note that any record obtained will include information up to the date of the request. You cannot purchase the use of future driving records.

You can request your own Delaware driver history record online. This is fairly simple to do and the quickest way to obtain the record. Visit MyDMV under the Delaware Government website. Sign up for a free account. You will be asked to verify your social security number, license number, and date of birth.

You can request your history and use a credit card to pay the $25 purchase fee. You are given the options of 3 years, 5 years, or full history. Once your payment has been processed you will be given a download link where you can obtain your driving record. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the record.

Your driving record will be stored in your MyDMV account for 90 days, so you can access it at any time. It’s important to remember that the record will only contain data up until the date you originally requested the record. If you wait to print the record off from your account for 60 days, the last 60 days will not be included in the driving record.
