Alaska Driving Records Search

Alaska driving records can be obtained by visiting your local Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office. Complete the Request for Alaska Driving Records form (Form 419), show proper identification and pay the required $10 fee.

Alaska Driving Records Types

There are three different types of Alaska driving records. The first type is called the Full Individual Record. This record not only shows your current Alaska driving record status, but also includes all convictions, license actions and at-fault accidents on record. In addition to that, full medical certification details for commercial drivers are also included on this type of record.

The second type of Alaska driving record is called the Insurance Record. This record includes your current driving record status and license actions. At-fault accidents are on there as well because they are required for vehicle insurance purposes. This type of record also includes a 3 or 5 year history of convictions. The type of conviction or action determines whether there is a 3 or 5 year reporting requirement. What is not included on this type of record is any medical certification information.The Alaska Commercial Driver?s License (CDL) Employment Record is the final type of Alaska driving record. Your current driving record status, convictions, license actions and full medical certification information are included on this record. At-fault accident information is also included on this record because it is a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations requirement for commercial drivers. Also, commercial drivers must choose this type of record for CDL employment purposes.

Alaska Driving Records Online

Alaska driving records are also available online. Visit Alaska?s Division of Motor Vehicles website. Then, complete the driving record request form by entering your driver?s license number, first and last names, social security number and date of birth. It is important that you enter the information exactly as it appears on your last issued Alaska driver?s license. There is a $10 fee for each type of driving record. The fee can be paid either with your Visa or MasterCard. The record will be delivered in Portable Document Format (PDF). It can be either downloaded or emailed to you. The record will be divided into different sections. The first section will contain your personal data. The second section will contain your license data. The remaining sections will include your medical data, license actions, violations and at-fault accidents. As previously mentioned, the type of record requested will determine the kind of information that will be provided on the record.
