Alaska Driving Records Types
There are three different types of Alaska driving records. The first type is called the Full Individual Record. This record not only shows your current Alaska driving record status, but also includes all convictions, license actions and at-fault accidents on record. In addition to that, full medical certification details for commercial drivers are also included on this type of record.
The second type of Alaska driving record is called the Insurance Record. This record includes your current driving record status and license actions. At-fault accidents are on there as well because they are required for vehicle insurance purposes. This type of record also includes a 3 or 5 year history of convictions. The type of conviction or action determines whether there is a 3 or 5 year reporting requirement. What is not included on this type of record is any medical certification information. The Alaska Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Employment Record is the final type of Alaska driving record. Your current driving record status, convictions, license actions and full medical certification information are included on this record. At-fault accident information is also included on this record because it is a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations requirement for commercial drivers. Also, commercial drivers must choose this type of record for CDL employment purposes.
