Individuals
You can get access to your Alabama driving records at any point you wish. Alabama offers two types of driving records for each individual. These include a 3-year record and a driver abstract.
A 3-year record contains the previous three years of your driving history in Alabama. A driver abstract is your complete public driving history for as far back as the state records.
Entities
Employers, insurance companies, and other businesses can request access to your driving record. Unless the entity is exempt from the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act, they must abide by these rules to obtain an Alabama driver record. When an entity requests your driving record it’s called a motor vehicle record or MVR.
Alabama driving records will have both personal information and driving history information about the specified driver.
