The Hawaii Department of Public Safety’s Corrections Division offers its Locate an Offender service through VINELink, an online portal to America’s number-one victim notification network known as VINE. This presents concerned citizens and victims an avenue to free, anonymous and confidential access to timely information and notification – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – on the parole status and custody of offenders under the jurisdiction of the State of Hawaii’s Department of Public Safety.
VINELink provides the most reliable information for custody status changes and criminal case data, which can then be accessed by phone, email, TTY and text messaging where available. VINE – which stands for the National Victim Notification Network – was specifically conceived to keep victims informed about the custody status of their offenders, and is today available in thousands of communities across the nation.
