Thanks. I did that last year but the DMV Canada rejected it because it did not have the initial date of issue of the NJ DL. I gave up but now I’d like to try the DL conversion again. Is there a form of the abstract that has the initial issue date? Or I have to write in to get a letter confirming that the abstract is related to the NJ DL with a the issued date specified.

  11. Eddie Soong says:

I need to provide a driver abstract for me to convert my NJ driver’s license to the Ontario, Canada driver’s license. The DMV in Canada said it has to show the date of issue of my NJ license in the abstract. They would not accept the standard abstract as it does not have the date of issue of my NJ license. Is there a different type of abstract that has the initial issue date of my NJ license? If not, what is an alternate way for me to provide evidence of the date I got my NJ driver’s license? Perhaps a letter from your office to accompany the abstract?
